Automobile showroom GM dragged out of car, attacked in Gurgaon
Gurgaon: A general manager of an automobile showroom in Bhondsi was waylaid and assaulted allegedly by a former employee and his associates on March 22.
Amar (34) suffered multiple injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city.
The police registered a case on Tuesday based on his complaint at Sohna City station, but no arrests have been made yet.
Cops said prime accused Mohit Adhana, who previously worked at the showroom, allegedly orchestrated the attack with Sohit Adhana, Annu Adhana, Prince, and Sagar Mavi—all residents of Sohna. Cops also said Mohit, recently dismissed from his job, suspected Amar was responsible for his removal.
Amar, a resident of Damdama Dhani village near Sohna, was driving his Ritz near the Sohna Dhani turn at 2.40pm when a car deliberately rammed into it.
"The car hit the driver's side, forcing me to stop. Soon, two more cars arrived, and a group of men dragged me out, attempting to shove me into one of their vehicles. I managed to break free and ran, but they caught up with me 200 metres away and attacked me with sticks and rods," Amar alleged.
He further claimed that Mohit pointed a gun at his chest and pulled the trigger, but the weapon did not fire. "They fractured my right leg and inflicted multiple injuries on my hands, chest, and legs. My screams drew the attention of locals, forcing the attackers to flee," Amar said.
With the help of bystanders, Amar contacted his family and was initially taken to the civil hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later shifted to a private hospital in Gurgaon. "The victim suffered at least 10 injuries, including fractures in both legs. He is now stable," said Sohna City SI Sandeep Kumar.
Following his complaint, police have booked the accused under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 351(2) (criminal intimidation), 126(2) (wrongful restraint), 190 (unlawful assembly), 191(3) (rioting with deadly weapons), 324(5) (causing damage exceeding Rs 1 lakh), 140(3) (kidnapping with intent to confine), and 62 (attempting offences punishable with life imprisonment or other imprisonment).
While assaulting, Sohit, Annu and Sagar held me tightly. Prince forcibly took away Rs 15,000 cash from me and Mohit snatched my gold chain.
As people started gathering, they left me and fled from the spot - the victim said in his police complaint
"Mohit held Amar responsible for his dismissal and conspired with his associates to attack him. The accused are absconding, and efforts are underway to arrest them," said a Gurgaon police spokesperson.
